SDI.
With SDI or Subsurface Drip Irrigation the dripline is buried in the soil. SDI makes it extremely easy to apply water and nutrients even more directly to the root zone than with surface drip irrigation. It eliminates evaporation because the dripline is placed directly in the root zone. Correct management is key with SDI to achieve the most effective way of irrigation. Incorrect management can result in over or under watering and therefore it is highly recommended to automate your SDI system and follow the right management principles.
